Under his visionary leadership, this institute quickly became India’s largest liver transplant program, performing over 1500 liver transplants. Prof. Rela’s expertise is internationally recognized, and he also serves as a professor of Liver Transplant Surgery at Kings College Hospital in London, contributing to the global advancement of transplant medicine.
In pursuit of addressing local healthcare concerns with international standards, Prof. Rela moved from Global Gleneagles to establish Dr. Rela Hospital. His vision for this hospital is to provide cost-effective, high-end treatments, including multi-organ transplantation, ensuring that advanced medical care is accessible to all.
